It was yet another day in the Starbucks line when I decided to grab a latte before heading to Costco with the kids. I ordered and made my way around the drive through... got to the window and handed the woman working my gold card. "The person in front of you paid for your coffee, you don't owe anything," she stated.

...Oh! Now, buying someone else's coffee isn't that big of a deal financially, but in terms of doing something nice for a stranger, it's worth a lot! I think these types of happenings in life are what we need to be thankful for the little things.

Sometimes it's hard to be thankful for everything we have in life. The baby won't sleep. My toddler won't stop throwing tantrums. I'm tired. This weather is the worst. But, really... these things are nothing compared to what others are dealing with.

It took me a second to process, but I decided that I would keep the 'pay it forward' going and pay for the person's coffee in front of me. Hopefully they were just as thankful for the generosity and continued it.

Pay it forward. You'll make someone's day, promise.
